About the role

We launch new products every month and need clean, consistent photos for the online store, plus a set of styled images for each collection. As our freelance Product Photographer, you’ll help shape how customers see our products, both online and in our marketing. This role is about four studio days a month in Portland, booked around our launch calendar.

Responsibilities

Shoot products on white in a consistent style for product pages, following our guide for angles, lighting and framing.
Style and shoot lifestyle images for each collection, working with props and simple room sets in our studio.
Capture detail shots that show texture, materials and scale, so customers know exactly what they’re buying.
Edit, retouch and color-correct images so they match across the whole store.
Deliver final images in the sizes and file names we need, ready to upload, within a week of each shoot.
Plan shot lists with the e-commerce team ahead of every studio day.
Suggest ideas to keep our photography fresh while staying true to our look.
Keep an organized archive of raw and final images for future use.

Qualifications

A portfolio that shows product photography, ideally including both on-white and styled work.
Experience with studio lighting and your own camera equipment.
Strong editing skills in Lightroom and Photoshop or similar tools.
A consistent, detail-oriented approach and the ability to work to a clear brief.
Reliable and organized, able to deliver to agreed deadlines.
Based in or near Portland, with your own transport to the studio.

How we work

Paid at an hourly rate, invoiced monthly, with payment within 14 days.
Studio days are booked at least two weeks ahead.
You keep the right to use the images in your portfolio once a product has launched.
